Promoters Shaun and Amanda Smith have returned to Colwick Hall for their second show offering a ten fight card which fell to nine after Nathan "The Black Terror's" opponent dropped out for reasons unknown to me. This made no difference to the show but did leave a rather pissed off Nathan "The Black Terror" (You may remember him as JDogg) without anyone to fight. For me personally and more than a few others, I would think, this bout between Nathan "The Black Terror" and Dion Groombridge was one i was particularly looking forward to but these things happen.

A little bit about the people keeping the show on the road before we start with apologise in advance to anyone I leave out.

Starting from the man who keeps everyone aware of what happening we have M.C.Chris Giblin. DJ Jay Brown was on the ball and did not leave the M.C. standing while he waited for the music to be faded. Not as unusual as you may think, I have personally witnessed an M.C. run from the cage over to the DJ booth after many fruitless attempts to get the microphone switched on. No such nonsense from DJ Brown who was bang on the button at every stage of events. The Ring was supplied by John Lund, Medics were from Front Line Medical Services. Hand wraps were
administered by Chris Milky (Booyaar Gym) who also shared the referee duties with Shaun Smith. Judges at ringside were John Lund and Esham Pickering who was a former British Commonwealth Bantam Weight Title holder. I don't actually have the name of the ring girls so I am really sorry girls but if you let me know who you are I will give you a mention. Finally there was the man taking the photographs Luke Bojko.

There was a minutes silence before the start of the show in remembrance of those people who have been killed in the recent terror attacks, which was right and proper and then it was time for the fun to begin. Begin it did.

The fights were fast and furious and like most BKB fights ended fairly quickly. For me personally this is the thing that makes Bare Knuckle Boxing, the sheer explosiveness of the action in the ring. This is in stark contrast to some of the long drawn out bouts that I am sure we have all witnessed in various pro gloved events.

Title Belts I always find a little strange when you go to a new show. It is usually a case of two people being picked to fight for the title out of nowhere, and someone wins having not had a single bout against anyone else. All the more strange when it is a world title. At the end of the day you can call it the universe title but when no one apart from
Ref Chris Milky and Fighters
your own stable mates have fought I can only assume some people live in a very small world. Another tick for UBKB as although looking at the fight card there were plenty of such things as "Welterweight Title Eliminator" they were exactly that. Eliminator rounds that should leave the best two guys battling it out for the title. There will be some seriously good fights when that happens judging by the eliminator rounds. Anyway who died and made me boss. If people want to do belts on even there first show it's none of my business. One I am hoping will happen would be Cory Keen v Bboy Kamran and being Welterweight it would be one hell of a fast paced battle.

So there you have it. All opinions are mine only and count for nothing but at the end of the day if you attend any kind of show and you enjoy it, then it must be right.

To be honest i don't need bullshit and posh venues what I do need is a great atmosphere reasonably priced beer and a good honest show.

All boxes ticked. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I'm not going to bore you with a review of the fights the video should speak for it's self.
