 Medway Mayhem

Well we did it and the video will be here as soon as possible. First off thank you too all of you people who attended, those that fought on the show and the people who helped get things together and helped on the night we appreciate you giving your time. From the top thanks to all the Fighters, The Rainham Mark Social Club, The Oriental Arts Center, A.A.R. Property and Maintenance, Amazon Girls, Michael Rosser, Kent Messenger, Our Security and The DJ's. Last in this section Dave Driver who has special mention as he stepped up to the plate to MC after we were let down by the guy Dan had arranged. On the plus side we now have our resident MC for our next show as Dave is more than happy to continue with the job. Thanks to My Mum, Dad and Kath for taking care of the door, as in taking tickets and dishing out wristbands.

wcfc1Experienced in the world of theatre I knew we were onto a good one with them doing that job. Dan's dad, Jon Towers, another trooper who done his best despite being left short due to people not keeping their word and turning up to help when they have said they would. Now I don't want to sound ungrateful but at the end of the day I would rather people just said they can't do something as it can be dealt with easily if we knew early enough and wouldn't leave other people struggling.

Anyway that will only happen once. To those individuals that did help out on the day we really appreciate what you did for the show and us, without you there would have been twenty guys who had given up their time training for the last few months who would have had no show to fight on.

Jo our Paramedic for the night and Emily her daughter for helping her by chasing up the fighters. Tom K for doing the time keeping. Referees Lee Ambler and John Jarvis assisted by Zeki Hussain doing the corner. Zeki has been helping the guys with their skills and fitness in the weeks leading up to this along with Memhet and Zeki Faulds and have done a great job. Runners and many other tasks Keifer Pepperell and Mario Towers.

Darren Brooks dad who stepped up to do the photography after we were let down on that one and last but not least Rob Tickner for his work on the day and support in the run up to the show. Also I am sure there were some other people who on the day I either didn't bump in to or just did not see which is not totally strange when you spend half your day walking backwards.

Special mentions to Sam Rowe who runs The Academy of Hard Knocks who jumped on the train from Aldershot way after his car died and nearly got off at Gravesend. Thanks for coming down mate. Tommy "Gun" Brennan and Team who travelled more than a good few miles to fight on this show despite not being a local lad but wanted to do his it for David's family. Nice one Tommy your a good man. Finally the Ring Hire guys who set up the day before the show which helped out no end and upgraded the medals making them look a lot nicer in the blue cases.

To say this has been a nightmare trying to get this video sorted would be an understatement. All done now and all with sound I hope.

Had To Say About The Show. The KM Report

White Collar Fight Club will hold their first show on May 25th in Rainham Kent. The show will be raising money for the daughters of Dave Young who was tragically murdered earlier this year. The card as it stands has ten fights on the bill. It is great how a lot of the friends of Dave Young have stepped up to fight to raise money for their friend who was so sadly lost. This show is going to be massive. It is apparently the talk of the town. With interest from the local press and word of mouth spreading the show far and wide we believe this will be a show no one will forget for a long time.

Main Event

Sponsored by Amazon Girls

Memhet Faulds v Chris Clark

This will be a tough fight for local Chris as he is up against Pro MMA fighter Memhet. Both guys are friends of Dave Young and both are training hard for the fight.

Supporting Main Event
Rob Best v Brad The Beast Best

What a great honour it is to have these two bigger lads on the card. The fact they are brothers add to the fight and I know both brothers want to win. This could be a contender for fight of the night.

Jon Towers vs Zeki Faulds
Sponsored by A.A.R. Property & Maintenance Ltd

Zeki is the younger brother of Memhet. He has been training MMA and will make his debut at BCMMA on May 11th in Colchester. Jon is a personal trainer and has a high level of fitness and mix that with his street fight experience this again could be a fight of the night contender.

Brad Martin v John Wilkins

These two recently fought in a bare knuckle fight, but they will be putting the gloves on to end there bitter feud once and for all.

Darren 'The Tank' Brooks v Nigel Cornell

We have give Darren the nickname the tank, he is built like one and hits like one. Nigel is stepping up to a bigger more experienced guy, but what I will say is Nigel has the biggest heart of all the guys on the card. He knows its going to be tough but he is mentally ready for Darren's power.

Gary Hawkes v Dean Constant

These two are great pals. I know both of them are taking this fight seriously. I suspect this one is going to be brawl. We will be releasing more fights in the coming weeks so please come back and check regularly.

Sam Turner v Darren 'No Dramas' Kingsford

This is going to be a good one. Both these guys are taking it serious and have been training hard for this. I wouldn't like to say which way this will go but I'd love to have these two to take to Prizefighters but this time coming from the same corner.

Kyle Pepperell v Lloyd Weeks

Both friends outside of the ring this will be interesting. I didn't take Lloyd seriously when he first said he wanted to fight in the show. Was I right to think like that or was I wrong? Time will tell but if I'm wrong I am prepared to personally apologize to him in front of everyone at the show. Kyle said " When he challenged me I only said yes because I knew he would bottle it and I would be able to sit watching the show at the bar. He's too out of shape"
